🛏️ Before booking accommodation, ask for…
- The registration number with the Tourism Authority.
- The total price per night, taxes and the tourist fee (€3 per night per tourist aged 12 or over since 1 October 2025).
- Cancellation terms, in writing.
- Access: exact address, parking, distance from the airport.
- Facilities: air conditioning, mosquito net, hot water, wifi.
🚐 Transport: good habits
- Agree the fare with the driver before leaving.
- Ask for the full trip price (return, waiting time, luggage).
- Be wary of taxi tours pushed through commissions.
- Airport ATMs allow you to withdraw rupees.
- Traffic drives on the left; visitors may drive with a valid licence from their home country.
